People near here...

my boyfriend started working at jiffy lube like two days ago (hey its a job) and today a cl65 pulled in. wtf? he said the guy obviously just bought it because he had nother better to do with his money from the way he was acting. he seemed confused when they told him that they didn't have the correct oil filter for his car and he should try going to mercedes. he said he would check a few other local places out first and then maybe go to mercedes. uhm...the mercedes dealer isn't really that far, and who would buy a car like that and try and get their oil changed at jiffy lube? people here are weird.

I am not sure of Mercedes' policy but maybe it was for the convenience of not having to make an appointment.

if its in boca the closest MB dealer is in Pompano, which for someone who doesnt love driving, its kinda far. That man must be crazy to go to jiffy lube with his MB thouhg.

Good point; I am not sure I would trust Jiffy Lube with my Z much less a CL65.

I don't like driving either really but it only takes like 20 minutes to get there and you go maybe once a year?

really strange!!

im not sure if he's one of them, but there r show-off people who dont have money for that sort of cars, using loans all the time...
my uncle once saw a guy with a Merc CL, filling gas for about $1.5 !!!!!
that amount could take a CL 4 about 10 km maybe, wtf???

Maybe he stole it and didn't want the Merc dealer to trace it back to owner? And he was planning on a long distance drive across the country and didn't wnt it to break down on him...

yeah he started working at audi in the car wash and they moved him up to service and he worked there for like 6 months. they were short techs and knew he really wanted to work on cars and knew a lot about them so they put him in the shop with no training whatsoever. he worke dthere for a few weeks and was working closely with a guy next to him and had to take breaks when he did, leave when he did, etc. so he was torquing down some bolts on a car and the guy told him he was taking his lunch now and they had to leave now so he left and when he came back he forgot that he didn't finish torquing down all of the bolts and when the lady picked up her car it fell off in the parking lot. so they just fired him. they had a lot of new techs coming out of school so that had a lot to do with it. but i mean you can't expect a guy who never had any type of training to be perfect, especially on such technology intensive cars like audis, and they didn't even offer him a position back in service, they just fired him.

he could have made up a story and said that the bolt might be defected. With 5 bolts and 1 felt off, the wheel still works as good for a period of time.
