To unprotect a sheet, do this...
Switch to the protected worksheet. On the Tools menu, point to Protection, and then click Unprotect Sheet. If prompted, enter the protection password (password: A way to restrict access to a workbook, worksheet, or part of a worksheet. Excel passwords can be up to 255 letters, numbers, spaces, and symbols. You must type uppercase and lowercase letters correctly when you set and enter passwords.) for the worksheet. Forecast is pretty simple too, two rolls of data , X and Y, depends on the predict value of X, it will calculate base on the two column and predict the Y value base on the X input

Book doesn't tell you the pw? Or the CD cover? No readme file on the CD that tells either?

Dude I was able to find tons of Excel password recovery tools with a simple Google search: http://www.google.com/search?q=how+t...Excel+password
The following result looks good... it recovers the password and lets you know what it is: http://www.rixler.com/excel_password_recovery.htm (click on Download at the bottom of the screen) And there are free ones, the above is one of them. Just be careful you don't end up on some questionable website that may have viruses etc. Check for viruses on whatever you download. Also, make sure you have a backup of your work in that Excel sheet before using these tools on it just in case anything messes up.

Oh those cheap @%#@^# ... yea I just tried that one I suggested... it shows this lame notice saying it will display "evaluation copy" if the p/w is longer than 3 characters.
Lame. I'll see if there's something else...
