What do you want to spend?
Yellow Tail & 3 Blind Moose are two brands that make a few different wines. They are on the lower end of cost, but are pretty good & popular....

I'm not opposed to spending up to $50 on a bottle, but I'm really just looking for recommendations on what others feel are good tasting wine. I realize that everyone has a different palette, but it will give me a chance to try them out.

One of my favorites...
Penfold's Bin 389 Cab Shiraz (Australia, 2002) ... goes with everything, slurpingly delicious, not too badly priced (around $50)

Wine DIY
1. Grape juice - prefer Welch's 2. A cup of vodca (try graygoose or davinch) Simple wine equation (1 + 2) x blend = Red wine

For wine, go to the source. Try Burgundies, Bordeaux, Rhone, Loire, Alsace and then try wines from other regions to compare; they rarely do.

the best wine ive ever had also happens to be the most expensive! i didnt pay for it though, it was for a company dinner. anyway it is duckhorn vineyard's 2003 merlot.http://www.duckhornvineyards.com/tas...dex.php?id=157 i dont typically like merlots but this one was awesome. not bland and soft like most. it was like $200 or something for a magnum bottle in the restaurant but you can get a normal size bottle for $85 at that website. im not sure what youll find it for at a local wine shop. it might be a good choice to go with a nice prime rib or new york strip on a special occasion.

Why not try Australian wine. Rosemount exports to USA so i think you could find one at any good bottleshops. Rosemount is one of the top winerries in Australia.
