I been meaning to try some viet sandwiches as i know they have lots of French influence in their cuisine. Questions for the viets...Do they make veggie sandwiches? Do they use decent cheese?

Starrykitchen in downtown LA. They are not your regular banh mi sandwiches. They come up with their own fusion. Every week they come out with something new.
http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...eat=directlink I also like the Nom Nom truck. |

The restaurants I listed are decent, doesn't taste like shit. And I don't have to constantly look for trucks like nomnom and go out of my way to get the sandwiches and pay a premium. (never tried nom nom, so cant comment on taste)

Ok they are decent but I rather spend a couple more bucks for some good stuff. At Starry Kitchen it's even pricier but they throw their own flavor in there. It's bomb. |

To the cheese question - i don't think they normally have cheese. There are some good places here in Seattle too.
They're anywhere from $3-6 depending whether it's a deli or a restaurant, usually. |

i think THH puts mayo, the pickled stuff and they might have a veggie version of the shredded pork stuff...
banh mi cha + trung (i think this is the ham or meat loaf and egg) and the banh mi xiu mai bi (meatball and shredded pork stuff) is where it's at for me! everything + egg makes life better as for the nom nom truck and what have you, i find it hard for me to pay $5 for something i can find for a couple of bucks, never had it, but i will definitely try it....i had this experience with the kogi truck, real cool to try a couple of times but i'm over it. |

Better bring a vest for the gang banger's there too.
I don't know where they find these women, but they're pretty hot... sometimes.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Every time I go to a Vietnamese restaurant I say I'm going to try something new and different and not just order pho again.
And then I order pho again, because I love pho so much. |
