Do you get the notation that girls are more white washed than guys? Like they feel embarassed when they speak in an Asian dialect even though they can speak it? For some reason all the girls that are chinese can speak it, yet they op not to, even my sister.

Prob depends on where you are, but given that you are in Arcadia it's kind of surprising that you would observe that with such a big asian community out there.

I am italian-american, and I had a conversation with someone the other day. It really pissed me off that we don't have any american pride. What i mean by this is if you asked someone from Spain what nationality they were, they would say, "I am spanish."

So I ask you OP, if I asked you what nationality you were what would you answer?

I am thankful I am American. I am also enlightened enough to recognize that if it wasn't for the wonderful melting pot experiment that is America, we would never have become the most powerful and successful nation in the world.

I think you missed the op's question. He's asking if Asian girls are more likely to 'let go' of their own heritage now that Western culture has accepted the Asian female. It's not so for the Asian male (yet).

I did call myself Italian-American for a reason. Because it is what it is. It is even worse along the coasts where the majority of people who live there are from family's that immigrated in the last 2-4 generations.

Asian women have generally been accepted by mainstream N. American society. It's very noticible in media particularly. Exposure is the key. They have commercial value whereas the Asian male has not acheived that yet.

lol. As a contract clause, Chan has to be a clown in order to keep getting movie deals.

Jet Li had a few leading roles but the only movie that possibly could've shown him in a romantic role was Romeo Must Die. However the movie was screened and polled by an audience. An alternate ending was created where he and Aaliyah became buddies in the end. Jet Li was basically neutered because America couldn't handle the the love story. Spike Lee really needs to do Dumpling Fever.

IDGAF where someone was born, how long their family has been somewhere, what they consider themselves, or which and how many languages they speak. As long as I can communicate successfully with someone when I need to, that's all that matters. I speak English and a little French. I'm amazed at how often I can have more effective communication with non-native English speakers than with native-English speakers.

So OP, given you speak English, and someone prefers to speak English with you as they are more comfortable with it for whatever reason. Why do you care?

because mainstream sees Asian women as some kind of exotic sex toy from the far orient no matter how Americanized they are, where as they just think the guys has small penises, therefor no sex appeal, no sex appeal no commercial value. But I dun know about u guys but I prefer my asian girls to be half fob and half Americanized like myself, as in fluent in English with min accent if any, decent in mother tongue, fob dress style, American party style, innocent looking but sociable not shy, laughs with her hand covering her mouth, like eating both American and Asian food, cultured in asian roots, not dumb.
