they can be cool if the crowd is more mature... for example don't go to those meets where there are a ton of kids running around because for the most part they will do something stupid...

This is what happens at BMW meets.
Smoking (with hoods) vs non smoking (no hoods) circles. There's the section for blacked out x35i and x28i cars (1/3) that just talk about stoplight and on street races and how sick their angel eyes are. Then there's the "M" section that only talks about vehicle weights, local track times, and shifting techniques. And lastly there's classics who only want to compare new vs old and talk about how older is better. And there's always Someones stupid friend in a ricer/ 'merican death trap being loud and obnoxious. But overall they're a great place to meet people and make connections. Everytime you go to one you'll see someone get Hookups for parts, be able to see the mods they wanna get in person, or finally meet officer ______ and get a fixit. |

You need to have a minimum of 3 wings and 3 spoilers to be accepted, or your interior trim needs to be painted with a non-matching color out of a rattle can, maybe a velvet liner and lots of neon and strobes, anything less will be considered just a wannabe followed by rejection.

I went to the meets around here b/c I just moved to the area and really didn't know anyone. Some of the people I met are now some of my best friends, and I've been able to get a hookup on every single thing I've gotten for my car. Not to mention, some of the people I've met have awesome stables. I've gotten to ride in or drive cars I never imagined I would. There is one on Saturday mornings here in VA which is probably the best meet I'll ever see. Google "Katie's cars and coffee" and look at the pictures, every single week there were different exotics there: http://www.secretentourage.com/event...reat-falls-va/ Even Alex Ovechkin showed up once with his matt black SL65 AMG Black Series

IMO once in a while is okay. It's when you have meets so often that they become ordinary. For example, if meets happen every other week you would just meet the same group of people, checking out the same cars, and doing the same things over and over. That gets old IMO. If there's a big meet, however, it can be fun because you get so much more of everything.

I do. I'm just saying it gets boring. I mean how many times can you really check out their cars before you go "oh I've looked at it already..." Also, things have changed. When this forum first started I went to a lot of meets and met many people. Now I don't really see as much fun in it anymore. Even when hanging out with my friends I would always try to find new things to do. I get bored when things get too repetitive. Again, it's just my 2 cents so take it FWIW.
