Time for a Chemical Intervention
Well I just got an order of car chemicals in and it prompted me to reorganize my shelf. Packing all those big bottles in meant I didn't have access to anything, so I decided to cruise to Home Depot and check out shelves.
I couldn't find a shelf that matched my existing one, so I cheaped out and bought a lego kit. It's actually pretty sturdy for being injecttion molded plastic. I was stupid enough to show my wife my progress and got an earfull aobut having too much crap. Here's the results: Filters, rags and gloves on top, oil and lubrication products on bottom: Assorted spray lubricants, brake and coolants: Stoners, 303, Meg's detailer and assorted conatiners. Flex, LCC Pads and applicator sprays bottles- Mutherlode here... Why would you make it any smaller? It's already too small as is. I need a bigger picture to see what is what...

It looks like you bought 4 of everything. How many cars do you take care of?

Hehe. Sorry about the huge pictures. Most pictures get resized by the forum software. Maybe it's an option I need to flip.
I made my first huge purchase of car care stuff about 2 years ago and have only bought a few items since then. Then a couple weeks ago I needed to restock glass cleaner and liquid detailer. And now that I have the Z4 canvas top I wanted a to add a dedicated fabric cleaner and fabric protectant to the arsenal. The Flex rotary buffer was big bucks, but I look at it as a tool. I'd say about $450 in detailer products. I don't do it for a living, but I do detail lots of cars for friends, family and neighbors. I've made enough money on detail jobs to support my habit. Buying the gallon jugs is crazy cheaper than the small bottles at Target or Walmart, and these pro products are way better then any consumer grade stuff. Hoppees #9? I use that to polish my pistons when I do engine break-downs. j/k I use it on my guns! I just keep it with the oils and other stuff. |
