I watched all of the X-men films and never really enjoyed them, mostly because I don't really know what's going on since I never read the comics. That is until recently when I watched First class.

Now that I feel that I somewhat understand the characters and how sides were formed. I want to go back and re-watch all of the other films...in chronological order. I understand the timeline is all fucked up from my research, especially in first class, so i just want a rough fitting of the four films.

So far I think, First Class, Origins: Wolverine, X1, X2, X3 seems like the proper order. What do you guys think?

I thought First Class was a reboot of the series so it doesn't really fit into the timeline of the others.

ya thats what I read, they are starting a new franchise out of it. But it does explain alot more than X1 did, which helped me out alot lol

I would make one change to your list.

You should switch Wolverine & First Class.

Remember in Wolverine, he saves the young pre-Xmen from experimentation and Prof. X escapes with them in his chopper.

I've only seen X1 to X3. Still need to see Wolverine and First Class.

But that means that Charles has already started the X-Men school (or academy or whatever), which he did in First Class, so I would keep that as the first one in the series.

But remember, Cyclops & the girl who turns to diamonds were in the first class. That is after Wolverine rescued them, they were not in Prof X school before that time.

At the end of Wolverine, when Prof X offered his assistance, Cyclops was amazed he could communicate with Prof X without talking. If he was already at the school, he would have already know this.

By the way, the only reason I remember any of this stuff, is that Wolverine was on last night.

Well, it wasn't Cyclops, it was Havok, who is Cyclops' older brother. I think that adds more to the timeline that this happened before Cyclops was of age. Oddly enough Emma Frost (diamond girl - good song!) looks younger in Wolverine than she did in First Class. So that's Hollywood consistency for ya!

But again, when the mutants were freed in Wolverine, Prof X already had the school established and was going to take them there. In First Class, the school hasn't been opened yet.

You should forget the movies altogether and read the comics to get a true idea of the story and how it all came together. Then, burn the movies because you will hate them, and will realize they do no justice to the comics

I didn't like Xmen first class...my fav was Wolverine, Origins...prolly cuz i just wanna stick my thumb in Lynn Collins' asshole

Wolverine wasn't accurate either if you consider that "wade" is supposed to be dead pool and doesn't fit that character profile at all either. Like mentioned before. If you're looking for accuracy read the comics.
