Amazon.com - Mind=Blown
Just wanted to share a little experience that just happened to me. I ordered a wrong size tube for my road bike tire and I requested to return it.. Then the next screen said: "Since you're a valued customer, keep the product, its on us."
So im getting my money back and dont even have to bother dropping it of for shipping, fukking awesome! I love you Amazon. That's all folks. yeah cool story bro, tell it again. |

I limit my online shopping to amazon and eBay. Needless to say I have never had an issue with amazon. EBay on the other hand is a different story.

I don't understand eBay sellers who sell something which is broken, doesn't work or just send the wrong item then argue the fact to try to get out of refunding.
If I make a mistake on eBay, if something is shipped really late, or there is an issue and the item is of low value, I just refund in full and add the loss to my tax return. |

However, after just posting that I do have problems with some buyers, I've had computer repair stores returning the broken parts they are replacing claiming I sent them a broken part. I track serial numbers on high dollar parts now.

Just sent back a set of $920 headlights with absolutely no problem. Didn't even have to pay return shipping. |

My sister bought a pair of AKG Q701s and they shipped the wrong color. She brought it up, and they simply shipped the color she asked for, they didn't say not to return them, but they just shipped the correct ones. So after a while, she sold me the ones she didn't want (the better color IMO - black) for well below what they're worth. Been over a year, and they haven't asked about where the other headset is.

For them, it's probably cheaper to let you keep a cheap item. Happened to me at least 3 times there.
Amazon is a really good company, but their stock is too expensive for me to get on board or I would love to invest. |

Reamind me of the time i ordered a Alienware M17x, price was just about 2k. I then decided I didn't want it 3 days later, They canceled and refunded my credit card. But guess what I find at my door a few days later, the laptop I ordered. They sent it and I never got billed for it...So essentially free laptop for me, which got sold.

Amazon and companies alike are amazing. I don't know if you have ever shopped at Zappos, but their culture and service is very similar (now owned by amazon)
If any of you guys are interested in business/customer service... Pick up Tony's "Delivering Happiness". He's the CEO of Zappos and a brilliant individual at that. http://www.amazon.com/Delivering-Hap.../dp/0446563048 |
