What is your favorite type of car?

I like those high performance sports sedans(m5, e63, rs6) but sports cars aren't my favorite kind of car. Strangely, I love the big luxury cars like the 7er, a8 and s-class. I just like driving these big cars and it is amazing how good they handle these days.

Some people like sports cars, SUVs, convertibles, hot hatches or even pick ups. What is your favorite kind?

I like all types of cars. But my favorites have to have RWD.

I like small robust cars. Too much room makes me uncomfortable.

I love all cars, I will drive pretty much anything I can get my hands on lol

I like the looks of the new 7er but I think the ride is a little bit too similar to the S class, it just felt a little soft and the steering feel just wasn't all there for me. Even with playing around with the settings

I'm going to be the odd-ball here. I love a sport wagon - practical and fun to drive. I have an Audi S4 Avant w/ 6MT, but would love an RS4 or an M3 Touring.

I can find something to like about just about any type of cars.

Sports cars, super/sport sedans, super cars, pickup trucks, anything that is somehow special.

A low slung, light weight, RWD, V8 powered sports car with a very low weight to power ratio. This is the car car that makes me really smile.

RWD or AWD sports cars or sports sedans. The fastest car I've been in (I wish I was behind the wheel!) was a '09 Nissan GT-R. Had a sick audio system and a Switzer Performance package made over 1000whp!! One of my favorite cars, can't wait to own one.

I can like any car that is good in my opinion, and would like to own a 4 door sedan AND a 2 seater sportscar.

But if to really say what is my favorite type of car, it is a 2-door 2-seater mid-front engine trans-axle gearbox rear-wheel drive light-weight sportscar powered by NA H/R engines, like W, H4, I4, I6, H6, I6, H8, V8, V10 or V12 transmitted by a MT. But a DCT or a good FI engine, like W, H4, I4, H6, I6, V8 can also be ok.

What cars respond to that list?

-Chevrolet Corvette
-Mercedes SLS AMG
-Lexus LFA
-Ferrari F12

Not many, but those mentioned are not such "lightweight" cars either.

Group B rallycars, or WRC cars.

And cars like a McLaren F1, F40, Carrera GT.

But a nice C63AMG saloon wil do as well.

Mid Engine? Front or Rear? Because both the Lexus LFA and the Lamborghini Gallardo are mid engine. But one is front, the other is rear.

dude, you make me spell it out? RWD = rear wheel drive.

To be more specific, my dream setup would be a coupe (not convertible/soft top) mid engine rear wheel drive with manual gearbox.

I can see my future car is gonna a Cayman S or R.

I don't have a specific fav type of car. I don't like SUVs or most convertibles though. I don't have any preference for a specific set-up like N/A or FI or RWD etc. I just judge each car by its own merits.

Two favorites:

1) Traditional sports car; Front or F/M, RWD, N/A engine that's at least moderately high revving, substantial horsepower, long hood, short rear deck
(LF-A, SLS, Z06/ZR1, Z4 M Coupe)

2) Mid-engined hyper exotics. All of them.
(CGT, Agera, Aventador, etc)

If I could have a hypothetical 'perfect' car, it would probably be around an 8/10ths sized SLS, weigh no more than ~3000lbs, have an atmos-produced output of 500-600bhp/400-450lb-ft, a weight dist of 47/53 or 48/52, brakes that never fade but not CC, and a six speed like a GT3's or a 7spd DCT as good as the one in a 458 or GTR, and you would nearly sit on the rear axle.
