Unusual car? 735i 'vert..?

Was cruising down CA 1 this afternoon, and saw a BMW I've never encountered before -- a forest green with brushed gold trim 735i **convertible**!

Never even knew BMW made a 'vert in the 7-series...this one looked really nice, I'm not generally one for the gold trim stuff, but it looked pretty good against the dark green.

They didn't. Either someone did a conversion or you got confused by what you saw

Must have been a conversion, then -- it was DEFINITELY a 7-series, complete with 735i badge in the back (gold-brushed, of course!).

They haven't made a 735 for the US in almost 20 years...

Did you see the car with the top retracted, or was it a carriage top? Too bad you didn't snap a pic for shits and giggles.

Top down, passenger's hair flying in the breeze!

I wondered if it might be a custom one-off -- the paint had that really deep, glowing effect you only really get from lots of coats of rubbed lacquer, and the car was spotless.

No camera, unfortunately.

Cool - Bet that was a nice change to see. 735i Vert. That's a big car to be a vert, too.
