Photoshop vs. Elements

I recently started an MBA program and can now get CS3 for a reasonable price through student discount. The last full version of PS I used was PS7 and I hated it because of the learning curve and switched to Elements. Elements is much easier, but now I can get student discount again, I'm tempted to get CS3.

Worth the spend? Or is the interface still unintuitive for the uninitiated?

I've just switched to CS3....
There definitely are some big improvements.
If you've spent some time with Elements the learning curve shouldn't be bad
