What bank do you have? I did the same yesterday and they cancelled that card and gave me a temp one until my new one comes in. I was in and out in like 5 min.

Mine doesn't give temp cards. Its a small credit union.

So it all worked out. My dumb ass must have lost it because there were no fraudulent charges, I was able to get a temp card (Thanks Bakeme) and I am proud to say my behymen is intact! Merry Christmas everyone!

use the CC all the time anyway.. 0 liability, the cc will fight for you on fraud charges, cash back, and extended warranties.

I never use my debit card to buy anything; complete waste.

I get to pay my purchase off in 45 days with 0 penalties etc, the money stays in my account and gets a (very small) interest; plus my CC gives me 3-5% back, so all in all, I can deduct about 5% from everything I buy. It really adds up.
Plus you build your credit score.
Just pay it off every month and don't use it unless you have the cash, just like you couldn't use a debit card unless you had the cash
