whats the difference between this and a nicely decorated dealership????? i dont get it? is it because they call it a BMW store instead of a BMW dealership?

Perception is everything and a luxury image only adds icing to this sweet, sweet cake. Boutique vs. store, Tiffany's vs. Zales, BMW store vs. dealership, BMW vs. Chevy, I can go on and on. Hell, here's one more... Any other big store vs. Wal-Mart. If this theory is working for Apple, why not BMW?

I can't imagine there will be traditional dealership salespeople, and the process for potential clients will probably be seamless and will also cater to (realistic) clients.

I was there on vacation during the night of the grand opening. However, they did not let me in since I was not a VIP. I guess being a loyal customer and owning a total of four BMWs in my life does not qualify me to be a VIP!?!? So mad that I did not get a chance to go in because I had to fly out the next morning. At least I got some pics of those funky dressed models ... I'll post pics when I get the chance.

Beautiful showroom but IMO it's completely unnecessary and overdone. If they were selling Paganis or Bugattis it makes sense, but BMWs???

i was there early this month during my ED trip... it has a cool design, but its a very small place and nothing to be overly excited about... the Welt was 100x cooler...=)
