Roadtrip music

I'm leaving to Montreal with my girl and another couple and we are taking my father's '05 530i, which means no auxilary input for the ipod as such we are limited to CD's

Anyway down to the topic, I'm trying to make some CD's with roadtrip music... can anyone suggest something to put on?

I've seen someone post that comedy shows on CD are great for roadtrips... where do I even begin to look for those?

Thanks in advance as this will be a 6/7 hour ride from NYC.. errr!!!!!

There is a device for the iPod with an FM modulator. This allows your iPod to "broadcast" on one of four possible frequencies directly to your stereo. Doesn't give you the functionality of the iPod but does give you your entire music library. With four people in the car you shouldn't have to worry about fiddling with the iPod while driving.

^^what he said. the device can be picked up at radio shack, best buy etc. for around $40. does the 5 series play mp3's? you can fit lotsa music that way instead of a traditional CD...

Agreed. However 2 things:

1. I primarily listen to electronic/rap music, and others are not HUGE fans of both genres so I'm trying to accomodate by making a compilation of "roadtrip music", I know that there are certain songs that are great to listen to on long drives.

2. I don't like the FM transmitters as there is constant static no matter how good the transmitter is, tried them all with my old Infinti (iTrip, Belkin, Monster) they are all crap.
