LOL Oh, Craigslist you make me chuckle.
Well, I was remembering my teenage years and was wanting to get on a sportsbike again, so I put up my e46 convertable as a feeler to see what I could get. I got a few offers for r1's, gsxrs, and cbr's, when this guy txted me :
Just to clarify: the blue book on my car is 8-9k. His first bike's blue book was 2.3k retail, second bike was 1.3 retail.

There are a LOT of dumb people, and even more shady people that want to sell you their broken crap.
But when you DO find something that's a good deal, and the seller is nice it's worth it. I remember when I bought my yamaha r1 from this guy who had a kid and gave up riding- he was the nicest seller I've ever met. Explained a bunch of stuff, his bike (and everything i saw- his car, house, garage set up) was super clean and taken care of. And when I bought the bike he gave me all of his maintanance items (chain lube+ more) and all of his helmets and wished me good luck. But then again there are a LOT of people that will lie, and try to cheat you out of your had earned money.

Lots of retards, but I sold my old car on there and it worked out great. Got exactly what I was asking, a little under KBB value but I wanted to get rid of it fast so knocked some off the price.
