PSA is a good company, but a little on the lower end of grading compared to BGS. In other words, a PSA 10, might only be a BGS 9 or 9.5, and that is why most collectors like BGS.

some people cross grade them right? send it to PSA and then get it re-graded by BGS? I guess just to see what it really grades at?

Wouldn't really be any need, might as well pay the few extra dollars the first time to have it graded by BGS, instead of almost twice as much to have the trial done by PSA. But, I guess it is possible. Still no guarantee that a PSA grading would carry over to the BGS grading though.
