That suck, I knew this would happen a battle over cost. Unlike the Beta/VHS battle with VHS was cheaper and had more record time and low quality. Blue-ray have more storage but a bit more expensive this time I do not think quality is much different since they both use similar compress and encoding.

I like Blue-ray due to the huge storage you can get with it, I hope Sony get smart and figures how to cut the costs. Other wise we all end up with the less common denominator.

Blue ray isnt dead .... its paramount ... they do suck ... and Disney is way more important then Paramount is .... Disney releases will be on Blu-Ray

Pixar i can dig, but the 200th Cinderella, Snow White, Mickey Mouse movie version I can do without.

Theres also the Pirates movies, the 2nd looks spectacular on Blu-Ray.
