NJ Grand Prix off the calendar for 2013
Can't say I'm totally shocked but if they could build an entire circuit from scratch in about a year, why couldn't they get it together for a street circuit?

Interesting that release focuses on permit issues (etc.) but doesn't mention anything about money. Apparently Bernie said they lacked proper investment and if they could find a couple more large investors quickly they could still make it happen. Guess that didn't pan out for them. Shame. Let's hope the effort doesn't fizzle and we see it in 2014.

Given what I saw in those Red Bull test run videos I would be astonished if they had managed to pull it all together in time. Repaving the course is not the big problem, it's creating all the things that don't exist (you want to build a complex on the Hudson river? I bet you need permits from 6 different agencies). Of course, Bernie also wants to be paid first.

The F1 calendar has been chaotic in recent years. Circuits in circuits out, maybe yes maybe no. WTF. I'd be so happy if the NJ Grand Prix happened. Just a drive from NYC!

A Drive? Just take a ferry over! It's literally the next piece of land over from the West Side Hwy...
