Amazing stuff. Good argument for people who think cops never do anything wrong. IMO this is a very rare example of what actually does happen, but there are some out there that think they can do anything.

The dumbass kid started out on the wrong footing. Yeah, talking back to the police is always a good idea. Now, that doesn't mean the actions of the cop were justified, and he definitely needs to be disciplined, but dumbass would have been in a world of shit had the cop kept his cool.
nmulax, real mature attitude there sport. I think this video will help quite a few drivers avoid problems. Tips for traffic stops.

So the cop was way way way out of line I'll grant you that, but that kid was purposefully being an ass when he was questioned. All the cop wanted to do was check out a suspicious vehicle entering a vacant parking lot in the middle of the night. If that kid had had his car broken into or stolen he would have been the first one to bitch and complain how the cops don't do anything. I really don't see the point of someone going out and purposely making someone's already tough job and making it that much tougher. Just tell him why you were there, let him run your plates and say thank you and good night...

i would've have beat the kid's butt and burn his car.
how hard is it to answer a question ? or two ? i mean. he got 2 videos of himself going around and giving cops attitude. he parked in a parking lot 2 in the morning. i think if you were a cop you did find that a little suspicious. it looks like he is looking for cops and giving them attitude and then posting them up online. (idk maybe he sells em or something.) find something better to do. |

Hey Guy, I know this kid, he is a member on another board I am part of. He posted this video there first and it was people there who sent it to the news outlets.
For those of you who think this kid was asking for trouble you first have to realize if live in a place where you have police who do there jobs well and follow the rules then you do not understand what it is like to live in a place where you have police who are out of control. The town where this took place is well know in the St Louis area as being a ticket haven, they generates 28% of the towns government revenue from tickets. The police Chief was disciplined for trying to force a 17 yr old girl to have sex with him to get out of a ticket read below. http://www.oa.mo.gov/ahc/case/Uhrig01-0435PO.KAW.doc I think other members on here can contest to the fact they get pulled over because of their age or the car they are driving and the cops begin to ask all sort of questions. All the kid is guilty of was trying to protect his rights. All the legal expects have come forth and said the kid did absolutely nothing wrong, they said the officer over stepped his bounds. They also said that the camera mostly likely keep the situation from exploding into something much worse. So this is this kids reality and what he has to do to protect his rights. |

even if the kid was being that, the reaction was 10 times harsher and was wrong and unlawful anyway you look at it. Cops are "supposed" to be "law enforcement", not "give me attitude i jail you enforcement". way out of line |
