big fan of Elon Musk and all the risk that he's taking to change the world for the better. He's like our real life Tony Stark. When their cars can hit a range of about 600km per tank then i'm definitely on board.

It's really the perfect commuter car. If you're a salesman with a 500mi radius, this isn't the right car for you. But, if you commute 20-150mi each day, it's a perfect match.

should be compared to a 5 series and e-class, not a 7 or s-class.

The exterior is very eye appealing, can't say the same about the interior, its pretty sparse inside except for that big monitor in the middle of the dash.
For a $100K car the interior is not up to par with other Luxury sedans.

For a 50k car I think it's a great interior. I think the problem is that it's the same one pretty much from the 50k to the 100k version. I think small touches would have done a lot.

they are everywhere in the bay area, i mean everywhere. I absolutely love the car. I just wish it had a solar panel to regenerate while sitting in the sun or to power the electronics in the car

I thought about this too, but after doing some research it doesn't seem like you would regenerate that much energy really. I think it was maybe enough to keep the cabin ventilated and somewhat cooled.

Got to be at least 1000km to make it worth while, I could get 900-1000km DD in the V70, 1100 or so on a long trip.

wow that is something, but the way the market has been as of late, i think if you bought almost any stock you'd be up handsomely!

I bought loads of stock when it was just 35...and then again at 55. Also just bought a Tesla S after driving it. No surprise it would be one of the best in it's market price range. Great car and kind of makes me feel all ICE are behind the times.

Lots of money for a car that has Point of no return?

"Hello? Mom, I can not come today, half of my electric juice is gone, I will not make it to your house, sorry. Maybe tomorrow, after I charge my car?"
Make sure you know exactly where are you driving and the mileage. However, if you are forced to go another route due to some emergency situations or who knows, and you are at 35% battery left you are screwed.
And everybody can give you a can of gas but electricity? Does Tesla come with an "emergency capacitor" ?

If it will cost 7-8000 I might take the risk of buying one for fun.
But at that price I can buy a REAL CAR.

That's not the point of the car. If you want to go on a long road trip or just go exploring, this isn't the car for you. However, if you commute 10-70mi daily the Tesla S is a perfect fit.

it is ridiculous the amount of these I see on a daily basis. They are very good looking cars.....

Curious about their reliability and TCO over time.

I think the average IQ level of a Tesla client is being misjudged by a few people.
