Route 66 Warranty

Oh yeahhh, just wanted to say I have had this warranty for less then 30 days. I already had a semi big issue with my 335i, tranny leak. Estimate was $575, Route 66 is covering everything minus the liquids needing to be refilled. My bill will be $80, the warranty process was great.

If anyone needs info I paid $2300 bucks (they will actually refinance your loan and throw it on the balance of the loan or you can pay cash) and I am covered up to 100K miles, my 07 only has 47k miles. They cover most everything so they list what they dont cover!

Anyone had good luck with them as well or am I just lucky right now?

I have it. Paid over 3k in repairs and only cost $1800 2 years ago I hear for bigger things it can be difficult. They want records for service that are above(more frequen) bmws requirement.

But for me so far so good. Paid for rental few times.

When I was getting my used 335i PPI'd at an indie shop they recommended getting an extended warranty.

They gave me the name of 3 great aftermarket warranty companies that pay well and handle their claims.

While I was still there found out that Route 66 was offered by my Credit Union and it made the top 3 of the shop I was at.

When I told the shop owner this he dug in a file and showed me a $3,200 claim they paid... amazing.

The piece of mind for the $2,500 I paid for 48 mos and 48k miles is a no brainer.

I have had it for 3 years no issues. Paid over 3k in repairs and cost 1800. Have some more repairs coming and hope my water pump hurries up and fails before 100k

Comparatively I'd agree but our is250 had its fair share of issues. Still not withy getting a warranty but I think it was only 1200 for the Route 66 plan for it.

Hmm this is interesting. I just bought a 2008 z4m and it came with a 5 year carmax extended warranty. The previous owner said it is 3000... He had the car for 8 months so if I get a prorated refund and buy this warranty will it work? I went to platte forme and i have some leaks, constant pressure valve, vanos tension gasket, oil pan gasket, power steering hose, and maybe a few others.. Total bill is 14xx nothing major or critical though

Seems legit, you bought from shitty Carmax. My neighbor works for them, she has had 3 cars from them. Every single one has had issues, most major issues lol. She finally got the clue and stopped buying from their.

I believe I paid $1800 for my Route 66 warranty and it covered me for up to 100k miles or 5yrs. I bought it right before my BMW warranty ran out.

So far I've used them twice; once for a new fuel injector and recently for a new valve cover... yes a valve cover, not a valve cover gasket. So far I've had zero issues with them paying.

Those two repairs alone would have cost me about $1300 and I still have 40k miles and 4 years of warranty left. Money well spent in my opinion.

I hope mine doesn't have issues. It is in immaculate condition. To be clear I bought it from someone who bought it from carmax.
