Thumbs up NINJA: Shadow Of A Tear

Let me preface by saying that this is one of those VERY rare B movies that is simply AMAZING!!!
If you have never heard of the lead character: Scott Adkins, dude is like the modern day Van Damme! He is a bonafied badass in real life and performs all of his own fight and action scenes. But what really sets this and even his other films apart, is the break-neck action and fight sequences all throughout!
Hollywood should take note. If you enjoy incredible fighting choreography and general ass-kicking, this is for you. It's available out there...

Does one need to watch the first one (came out in 09 IIRC) in order to watch this?

Scott Adkins is awesome. Undisputed II and III are among my favorite movies (as far as action goes). Michael Jai White is good, too. No wires ftw.

Seen part one and I don't think I'll be watching this one. It Kinda reminds me of American ninja. Best ninja movie for me would be Shinobi. Ninja Assassin isn't bad either.

That looks reminiscent of the late eighties, early nineties action movies that I grew up with as a kid, looks good!

Great question. I'd say it would be nice but not necessarily. It had it's own story line. But might as well since they're both available for down.

I met Michael at a club years ago. Very cool guy and he has been "ripped as fuk" for years! Dude is mid 40s and going hard with it.
I always wished he would either do another Spawn or take over as Blade.
Glad you guys appreciate other than big Hollywood flicks.

I've only seen the Ong Bak movies, but he's pretty good in them. Nice to see Muay Boran featured as well.

He should be in anything over than B movies and stunt roles. Same for Adkins. Black Dynamite!

movie wasn't bad, but not as good as Ong-Bak. Had some good fight scenes, overall it's a mainly a make fun of with friends movie and drink during it.

looks a bit sloppy during his fight scenes, but overall it looks decent.

what I'm assuming is the last fight scene in the dirt with reddish lighting looks to be sick.....

Just saw the ending credits in the preview, is that Shane Kosugi, Sho Kosugi's son? I grew up watching his movies. I remember when i was 1 or 12 walking to the video store by myself to rent his movies.
