Ecstatic Woman Wins Audi R8 Spyder On US Game Show [Video]

Quote:
Here’s a feel good story for the new year.
If you thought Sheree Heil from Tacoma, Washington, was quite happy about just making it onto the stage on the US game show, The Price Is Right, wait until you see her reaction when she wins the biggest prize in the shows history, a brand new Audi R8 Spyder.
Lucky woman!

God damnit I would've gotten that wrong. I knew the base MSRP is (or was) $108,000 according to Edmunds. That might've jumped to $110k in recent years. I underestimated the true price of the car by a little. I thought it would've been $146k.

LUCKY girl - then she has to claim the value of the car - 120 g as income for the year and send the IRS about 45 thousand in taxes that she may not have - Most of these people have to sell the prize to pay the GD taxes

She probably can't afford the taxes on it sadly.

Drive that shit around for a month, be seen by friends to achieve baller status, sell to pay taxes.

Sales tax, Fed tax, State tax all in >$60k as a guess. Car will be offered for sale most likely. Don't forget insurance, lol.

Gosh that's sad. So it's really not as straight forward as winning a free car hehe.

Remember when Oprah gave everyone in her audience a free car? Same thing. A lot of those people actually racked up some debt as a result. Such a nice lady.

That was interesting, but nobody won the 458!
At least the next guy won the Elantra. He can most probably afford the tax on that.

Anyway, I'm positive that a iPad mini 16gb is much less than $700!
And the audience is so retarded in thinking that the 458 price starts with a figure of 8 lol!

Couldn't you just opt for the net cash equivalent instead?
