Got Pulled Over

So I poped my cherry in this whip. Got pulled over and he clocked me at 78 in a 55. Valentine went off but it was too late. The conversation went like this Me: Was I speeding. Cop: Yea, what are you testing out your new car Me: Yea I guess but I'm trying to keep it under control. Cop: Yea well were are you guys heading. Me: Rutgers (I was thinking maybe that was the wrong thing to say since it was like 1 am) Cop: Have a good day, slow down.

So all I can say is do what you can to get a PBA card and be cool with the cop.

It's a card you get from the cops that says that you are a good driver. I got friends who are cops so I got hooked up. I got out of a ticket once going 98 in a 55 in my 325i, I got let go but I caught a lot of shit from my friend and he took me card. So I got one from someone else haha, its all good though I guess I'm lucky I cant take it for granted.

The whole situation made me really think like damn, valentine didnt do shit for me. Since it happened I have been a little more cautious. Not using the valentine anymore til it gets hardwired. Having it on my windshield seems stupid as hell to me.

Maybe I am confused you said that you are going to take it(V1) off the wndshield, I thought the only reason to hard wire it is so it didn't have to be plugged into a cig lighter. Most all radar detectors are mounted on the windshield not unless you have a K40. Correct me if I am wrong.

my good friend who is a cop ny LI NY, sais as long as you tell the truth they'll let you go. like if your speeding dont deny it, just be truthful about it.

all of my cop friends tell me, never to admit to anything. When they come up and ask you. Do you know why I pulled you over? you say. No officer I do not. Because if he really pulled you over for something stupid like unclear plate and you say Yes I was speeding. He can be a dick and write you for it.

I've actually always admitted to fault when i get pulled over. If i was speeding, i say, yes officer i was going over the speed limit. One time i was speeding and weaving in/out of traffic on the san mateo bridge. Once i crossed over, i see the cop and he asks, do you know what you did wrong? I admitted and he goes on to say, do you know how long it took me to catch you? LOL He told me to just slow down.

I've always told the truth, cops know all the BS and hate that more. Out of my driving career (long one), i've been pulled over probably 10-12 times and have gotten 2 tickets out of them. Being honest is the best policy.

i guess you just have use your best judgement and know when to be honest and when not to admit guilt.
