You'll get screwed on e30's with price because they are so hard to find clean. Then your budget is far off between an e36 and e46. Get a firmer estimate on your budget then it'll be easier to determine whether e36 or e46 is appropriate

They're still out there. It'll definitely take longer to find a good deal on a good car, but it's not an impossibility. OP was looking for an 'old school' BMW, which is why he's looking at E30s.

Didn't say they aren't out there just hinting at the fact that M>non M hahaha I mean let's be real. I searched 2 years for my e36 so we can throw that into the equation. Happy hunting
