Also, that wouldnt even be judging it by its complete design. A car's design does go further than just it's grille and side profile. Bumpers, headlights, rearlights, wheels, paints etc. The interior is also like no other competitor but uses Audi's own design language as you find in other models.
I'm sure 90% of car manufactures can put the same technology in any of their cars. Most choose not to because 90% of the technology Audi put into that car is unnecessary/unwanted.

Thats purely based on opinion. Take the new Audi Mobile for example. I'd love to have a device that can start my car and heat it up for me on cold days BEFORE I even leave the house. On top of that its still a mobile phone and mp3 player and stores car settings.

Also, I'm sure most people wont complain about having a hybrid, what's so "unnecessary/unwanted"? It also has the option of being FWD, RWD or 4WD. I think it's useful tech.

Again on top of that it still has more storage space in the boot (trunk) than the mini. I'm sure most people regardless of their opinions will say YES to more space

Since when is the engine considered part of the tech?? -___-
The engine is separate from the tech.
In the picture above, most of the stuff is froufrou. Many people would turn down the hot pink/red/orange for a normal color.

Also the ability to see what song is playing, next to your speedometer??..

People would rather have a simple, clean looking UI, than one with excessive buttons. It is a car after all, not a $10,000 gaming computer.

The Audi Mobile is pretty cool and revolutionary, but I can see it having many problems, and would make cars more susceptible to theft. (How many people lose their phones??) On top of that, a tech person could easily duplicate the signal to the car, and cut the gps/nav on it.

Bro, I dont think you're grasping the fact that its just a concept. Even it hot pink WAS an option, does that mean people are going to order it with that colour?

Also, what's wrong with discussing the engine and hybrid tech. I wasnt just talking about the engine, I was talking about the RWD/FWD AND 4WD options BECAUSE of the engines. The A1 is packed with loads of things that elevate it above it Mini. Even the MMI system is promising as with other Audi models.

You also spoke about the cluttered dash, I think you're missing the point that it's just a concept! Look at other Audi concepts and you'll see how they cut down on features in the production model. Clearly that dash wont be the EXACT same as the production one. Also, half of the clutter is because of the use of aluminium. It makes dials etc stand out more...

Look at the TT interior for example of what this should look like. Although it'l look a little funkier Regarding the speedos, the speedos are still distinct and easy to read. We dont even know if all the info on the display will be there in the production model either.

Oh yeah and regarding security, I think it's a little early to speculate. Maybe we should wait and see the security Audi offers when they release more details about it and any revisions they might make to the system when it's in production version.

I know its a concept, i'm just criticizing what I see. Right now I dislike it, just like I disliked the new M3 the first time I saw it.

I guess I didn't like it because it didn't look like the M3 I was used to.
I immediately looked at the big line going down the side and thought.. "omg, they managed to kill the M3." The hood bulge wasn't working for me either, made it look too much like a muscle car...

But now, I'm in love with it, and would rather have an e92 over an e46.

I actually like the side crease but you were so right about that powerdome. Far too big. I also hate the mirrors when looking at the car from the front. The remind me of elephant ears, and that's not a good thing. The old M3 had such a solid raw look. This one just doesnt look like an M3 to me...
