...which is substantial! A 200 lb. weight savings makes a whole lot of difference, especially given that the 135i will have the exact same engine/tranny as a 335i.

word..... i don't know where people are getting that the 135i is only gonna be 50lbs lighter than a 335i... try 200lbs lighter.. not to mention a smaller wheelbase... much better performance platform to start with... A/C delete, lighter rims/brakes, lighter hood/trunk will put this car at 3000lbs with some ECU mods 400hp.... thats good enough to rip 99% of cars on the road... that Tii is looking awesome.. cant wait to see what BMW is going to do with the 1 series platform.
P.S. eyelids fix the gay headlight problem. |

Do we have any idea what engine will be put in this thing? The old tii had significantly less power than the turbo version. Can we expect the same here?

I own a 3dr 1-serie Hatchback and its fantastic to drive, better than a 3-series imo. A 2002tii would be amazing, light weight materials and a great engine, I cant stop drooling. I want it.

Same here. "That is the ugliest car ever. Who would drive that thing." were my exact words when I saw the press release in July. Now I love it. It's still not a great looking car but it's a car with great potentials.

Not sure bro.
From what I've been reading, the 335i is supposed to get an LSD-like option which works through DSC (..info source through various threads). My question is.... ...is the 135i a mechanical LSD? Or the DSC related LSD mentioned above? |
