Harley Davidson LiveWire Motor Cycle
I heard on the Radio that Harley is introducing an Electric Sport Type Motor Cycle. I am a little surprised that Harley would go this route but I am also thinking that would be cool.
I test drove a Tesla and was blown away by its performance. I hope Harley and other companies can do the same with bikes. Does anyone have info on the LiveWire? I have been looking on some bike forums but do not find much info on it.

My dad mentioned something about it too, first I had heard of it. It's about time they do something to enter the 21st century. the baby boomer generation isn't going to be buying motorcycles for too much longer, and I can't think of anyone I know in my age bracket or younger that would even think about buying an HD. I know I wouldn't.

While it obviously doesn't have that signature sound, I think it sounds pretty cool and 'futuristic'. Do all electric bikes sound like that? And besides that, it looks incredible.

I think there have a been a number of studies, some large scale and recently, that counter the myth that loud pipes save lives. Assuming that's true, I don't see how a silent bike would be any more dangerous to the rider. If anything, it might allow them to be more aware of their surroundings.

I think the sounds is from cut gears or a cogged belt somewhere in the drive system.
