Ultrabook vs Macbook Air
Hi Folks,
I'm looking at getting a new laptop for work (which includes mainly creating power points, emails, documentation and nothing too excessive) and to play the odd game once and awhile. I'm only looking for a thin laptop that weighs less than 5 lbs due to the nature of my work. I am constantly travelling and having to carry a large laptop on the plane is a pain in my ass. I prefer Mac's OS however I for work functions Win 7 would be more beneficial (but not a deal breaker). I have a budget of around $1399 CDN + Tax ($1250~ USD) + tax. What are your inputs!?

Lenovo X1 Carbon. I have a loaded out 1st gen. one (which isn't necessary for it to still be better than a Macbook Air) and love it. You will hate yourself for buying a Mac due to the purposes you stated use for.

wait for the October 16th press event apple will be holding with the updated macs. rumor has it Apple will come out with a retina display 12" MacBook air which will be a nice upgrade to their current notebook line up.
if the new air isn't to your liking, then go for the other thin ultra books that are out in the open (the Lenovo mentioned above is a great computer as well).
