That is amazing. Do you know how many were built world wide?

I also remember the RS500s here in the touring car series. It was a great era in Australian Touring car racing. Has gotten kind of boring over the years here.

Found this bit of memorabilia, >550hp!

The actual racing was rubbish. The Sierra's came over and ate everyone alive for a few years until Nissan dropped the GT-R on the track and it made the Sierra look like a fred flinstone car.

Right, I keep seeing you guys write that they're "so very different", but I haven't seen anyone expound on how exactly they differ. Could someone in the know please endulge us? I tried reading on wiki and found very little.

Basically the engines are different.

The Cossie engine is a tuned up to around 204 bhp (minimum).

The new ne built in the States is pretty much same as our standard XR4i.

With the Cossie 500 having loads of HP.

Admittedly this is on the 500 cars.

Diffrent engine, gearbox, diff, suspenion, shells are diffrent, fuel system, interior, they just have a basic similar apperance.. The cosworth engine is thr heart of the sierra cosworth.. Its such an amazing engine coming on 30 years old now. Can extract alot of power and for thr most part reliable.
