Dang! I'm on a full T1 and only getting 1439 down and 1456 up, and I'm NOT going thru the proxy.

That is normal for a T1, you getting almost full bandwidth of T1

Normally range between 15mbps and 20mbps download and stuck at 1mbps upload (I hear a free upgrade to 2 mbps upload is coming soon)

I don't remember exactly how it came up, but I saw it in my list of previous tests and thought, "Hah! I'll throw that one up to have the highest score!" Obviously something was wonky with the test, because as you mentioned, the ping is insanely slow....

That site always reads slightly slower than other "speed test" sites.

Here's another result below that is a little faster.
