All pickups are considered commercial vehicles, and the rules and regulations are ridiculous. Using an SUV, which is considered a Multi Passenger Vehicle, and you are exempt from all those rules and regulations. Friend of mine got pulled over by the MTO (Ministry of Transport) that handle all the on road enforcement of commercial vehicles, while towing with a pickup, ended up with several thousand dollars in fines and points on his licence. He now tows with an SUV, smooth sailing. |
