Anyone outside of the the state of Illinois think they even had a shot? This game was such a mismatch thanks to OSU being overrated and the Big Ten sucking this year.

The Rose Bowl selection comitteee messed up big time by sticking to ''tradition'' rather than give UGA a bid. USC vs. UGA would've been a great game and prolly would've have gotten just as good viewership as the Nat.'l title game.

Yes, anybody but Illinois, preferably OU or UGA. But, the Big 12 champ is tied to the Fiesta if it is not in the Natl Title Game, and after that the Sugar Bowl got first pick, which they of course used on a SEC team, UGA. The Rose Bowl committee were in a tough spot. The only other logical option here would have been Mizzou. That would have been a better game.

The rose bowl has always been big10-pac10. There are plenty of other bowl games, no need to screw with a great tradition. But it should have been MI, not IL. But I was just as happy to see MI beat FL!
