GMR with an i8

Took my new 35mm f/1.8 for a spin on a GMR run:

i8 isn't mine, but the 340i M Sport in back is!

I'm not sure whether you have done any processing on this, but there is an awful lot of chromatic aberration on the i8.
The purple fringing is very noticeable.

I'm not a pixel peeper. I don't even see it.

You don't need to be pal.
Just look at the purple stripe on the right hand edge of the bonnet (or hood if you prefer).

This is not a criticism, merely an observation. It's a good shot but could be better. That lens should give you perfect results.
1 click in PS and C/A is gone.

Damnit. Now I see it thanks lol. I don't remember if I had CA correction on on the camera. That was my first time using that lens. It's on now.

It' not the best shot. I took it on the fly. Didn't have much time.

Both are nice. CA is a common issue on most of those lenses when shot wide open. Click the box to remove it in Lightroom and gone. It's not a criticism like said previously. It's just a side effect of the sharp fast glass. Easy enough to correct in post and shouldn't detract anyone from buying one of those fine lenses.

It goes away when stopped down to F4 or more. I'd rather be able to handhold a low light shot like this at F1.8 and ISO 100 and remove CA in post than have to shoot at F4 and ISO 1600. That or drag a tripod everywhere...
