So i found a game i stole from my cousin earlier today (stole the game about a year ago) and pop that bad boy in my 360...3 min in it freezes the 360....so i take the game out restart it...RED RING OF DEATH....gah why...screw you MICROSUCK!!!:m ad0260:

Anyways,your 360 will be replaced free regardless of whether or not your warranty has expired. Microsoft realizes the red ring dealy and is willing to do this I guess. Just give 'em a call and you'll have a new one in about 2 weeks. I had the same thing happen to me when I got a launch unit. Happened about a year ago.

this is why i got a PS3. With PS3 for the extra 150 bucks that u pay, u get quieter fans, no over heating problems, no RING OF DEATH, controllers with built in recharging battery, wireless internet, free online gaming, and also controllers that act kind of like Wii's motion controllers, but aren't as good. Though i know u get fewer games with the PS3 and no HALO 3, which i think is a gay game, but u're gonna be pleased with it.

Listen, I'm not gonna get in an argument over this video game spiel (trust me, I've done way too much of that in the past on sites like Gamespot...wasted like 5 years doing that), but let's just say that which console you choose is based off of preference. At the moment the 360 has a larger variety of games, not to mention an overall higher quality library to choose from, a better controller (subjective though), and GOOD online capabilities (I've heard nothing but grumbling when ppl compare PSN with XBL).

Currently, MS is working on implementing a 65nm cpu in the 360 that is supposedly silent, and that'll be incorporated sometime this year. They're also offering free replacement of RRoL boxes, so that's being worked on.

Really, it's all a matter of personal tastes. Right now, it's a toss-up between which console is better. Give it a few years for the PS3 library to grow (not to mention the graphics will probably escalate like x1,000 in a year or two) and hopefully even I'll be tempted into buying one. Right now I just don't like the games for the PS3, and 99.999% of the exclusives have been bought out by Microsoft. It's just a matter of personal taste.

haha well he went outa town and left me the keys to his appt last year and I asked to borrow like 5 games and I guess one fell in the spare tire area and neither of us realized til today when for some reason I went in there to look for it.

I have heard this numerous times. I sent mine in a few weeks ago and still have not received the replacement. People think they are new, but all they are is refurbished units. I did buy a new one at the time of the RRoD. Going to let the kids use the replacement when it gets here.

Thank god for the Wii, not a single hickup.

My 360 also gave me the 3 rings of death, i said fuck it, and bought me a PS3 and never looked back. Microsoft pisses me of so bad, making defective consoles, bitches.
