A 1981 Chevy Malibu station wagon. I used to jump that thing over steep railroad crossings at about 80 mph like it was the General Lee! First car, got it for 75 bucks

1983 GTI - modified suspension, pretty slow acceleration but constantly driving it as hard as it would go, really low weight, but great handling (no power steering), great handling, and the easy ability to slide it around corners at pretty high speed actually made it the slowest accelerating car I have ever had but the most fun.
Now I have cars with much higher limits, weighs over a 1000 pounds more, accelerates much faster but the amount of time I can really drive it at it's limit is very limited.

For me it was the Honda S2000. For fun factor honestly none have come close yet. I honestly regret letting my AP1 go. The car wasn't super fast but had unbelievable agility and driving feel. The downsides were lack of utility and comfort, but this thread is about fun
![]() PS - BMW this is how you make a car with great steering feel and electric power steering. |

04 SVT Focus with Procharger. I bought it brand new with 7 miles procharged it and drove the hell out of it until I regrettably traded it in for a Truck that I ended up hating.

Nissan Navara or the US calls it the Frontier. diesel, not much power but fun, just run over shit and potholes are non-existent when im in this car.
did install a ATM chiptuning unit, torque is fun on a turbo diesel. it's just always pedal to the metal

Have to admit, the E92 335i is the best car I have ever owned, but the 944 Turbo was the most fun. The 1970 LeMans Sport that I drove in the 90's was an oddity, because it got 1/2 the attention from the opposite sex that the Porsche 951 did.
Hey, think about it, the former editor of C&D drives or did drive a N54 E90 335i as his personal car. that says something! |
