Sam Smith writes for Road & Track, and man, his writing is a very compelling reason to get a subscription. I think he might be the only guy on the planet that gets to drive more cool cars than Chris Harris.

Here's an interview with him about the experience of driving that 2002ti at Laguna Seca. Based on the tone, I'm pretty sure he wrote the answers and the questions.

Sam Smith flogs an Alpina 2002ti at Laguna Seca
Like drinking an entire pot of coffee and then hot-footing the world's tiniest Camaro in the rain.

Excerpt:

Very much Sam Smith self-deprecating humor. The guy is way more humble than he has any business being. He also .

So yeah, I've got a bad man-crush on Sam Smith. Shut it!
So which really cool BMW motorcycle does he own?

Pretty standard stuff for pre-production cars. It is unlikely that it contains anything related to the 2002 Hommage conversion.

same old 2002 hommage concept with new wheels and colors. looks good but not wow by any means as it's a previously revealed concept. still, would've been a cooler m2 if they could keep the m2 headlights
