BMW hasn't released any renderings of an i5. I agree whoever crafted those used a Tesla as the basis, but it wasn't BMW.

Bad news for Tesla.
An i5 would seriously cut into Tesla's emerging market. I have to think BMW will position some new product in the Type 3 price range. Tesla's future is completely committed to that one product and their new assembly plant coming on line smoothly. Many hurtles to clear in the coming months.
And now Apple is acquiring McLaren.
I sold my Tesla stock today on the news.
