I don't understand the whole 'buying a GTI and replacing its front with a Jetta' sorta thing, but whatever floats the owner's boat. The gold looks alright, but I'd never do it. I think black or silver would work better.

Sweet. I have a Jetta front as well but the front grill area is painted black with chrome bits around. I'll have to find a pic somewheres, but your friend's GTI is definitely clean. Though I don't know about the eyelids...

it's a gti with a jetta front end....an r32 has no chrome
