used vs. new

I'm expecting to take delivery of my E90 this week. Coincidentally my dad was in the market for a car and ended up buying a certified pre-owned E46. It is a 2003 325i sedan, vogue silver metallic, plack leatherette, wood trim, automatic. Pretty standard 325i; about 28000 miles on it for mid 20's. Has one year of original warranty/free maintenance left, then 2 more years of certified pre-owned coverage. I test drove the car and my impression was that the E46 is still a very nice car. Did anyone here consider the pre-owned route before deciding to go with the new E90?

I looked at them but not for long, I just really like the look of the new E90.

Buy new if you have the money, used if you dont. Or if you want to buy a car and not absorb the massive depreciation most do, buy used. It really all depends upon you and your financial situation. For the 3 though, used E46's can still come at a premium, but E46 M3's, most of them, are a steal just avoid 01' if that's what you're thinking on.
