Congrats to the dealers that made the list and any of their employees that happen to see this thread.
Braman was worthless, my 4th bmw here, looking to buy a pre-owned in next few weeks, guess i'll check out coggin. Do you have a name or anybody recommended for used?

Thanks

Jack
I don't recall who I dealt with but they were they only other dealer I spoke with who I would call again (aside from Melbourne where I got my car). I'll see if I can find a name in my emails but not sure I still have them.
No worries. I gave him the contact name.

I will second that claim. Pines BMW has been the best sales experience for me in FL. Have not had a chance to try their service yet.
I agree. I also buy from Pines. My contact is Les Cutler. BTW, if anyone tries to contact Les, they should know that he is out of the office until sometime in April.

BMW best of list

Of note- no SF Bay Area dealerships on the list. With a thousand billionaires in the neighborhood, I guess the big $ are buying Lambo's, Ferrari's, McLaren's and the omnipresent Teslas. You'd think BMWUSA would be bending over backwards to offer great sales and service to tap into this crazy wealth but I guess the "bean counters" figure it's just not worth it. Oh well, there are many internet deals and indie mechanics super qualified.

Of note- a shout out to Steve Hooper at Peter Pan BMW repair. With what little support corporate gives him, he is a true pro. He's been there for my M6's and M5's and is going to get to know my M3 I'm sure.

Prestige's eBay rating just went up from 40% to 50%...they should be banned from eBay!

Not even close, there are many many more dealerships here. Im not surprised to see Manhattan there, they have been great during my purchase. A little expensive for service but when I take my car there its always a great experience.

I used to work for bob smith, it's not nearly as good as it used to be, partly because matt smith left and now is a gm at rusnak lol.

Matt was just rehired by his uncle. Back at Bob Smith as AGM.

Well I agree with that but the breakdown of the rating shows Service as only 10%, and many of the other categories reflect dealers' prowess at getting more $ from customers. So actually it's no surprise that South Bay BMW is on the list.

Recently my 2013 X1 needed its first oil change out of maintenance coverage, and due to being busy and also lazy I let my Japan-born partner take the X1 to South Bay BMW with strict instructions, "Oil change only." Thank god I was able to see his text at work when he let me know the SA had told him the oil change couldn't be done without new spark plugs and work on rear differential, for a bill over $1100. I texted in CAPS "GET THE X1 THE HELL OUT OF THERE" and he did.

Took the X1 to a AAA-highly rated all-makes shop where they did a full check for free (per AAA) and the synthetic oil change for $90. X1 is in great shape.

Never again on South Bay BMW service. I expect prices to be higher to cover their huge lot, loaners, car washes, etc. But that was some messed up BS they pulled.

BMW of San Diego is on the list because they're the highest volume dealer in San Diego County. They are not an enthusiast-friendly dealer. We bought my wife's 2011 335is Coupe there with Euro Delivery and on the day we did redelivery, the GM was ranting and raving to us about all those boy racers who go and autocross and track their cars and then come in with warranty claims. Funny, I got the distinct impression that BMW encourages that. Also refuses to support the local BMW CCA chapter in any way, including not allowing us to place copies of our newsletter there. (This is because other BMW dealers advertise in it, but they don't, which they could.) Got some warranty work done there shortly after redelivery and never went there again.

When I e-mailed our previous CA, who sold us my wife's car and is now sales manager, for a price on a M4 Coupe for Euro Delivery, he couldn't even bother to reply, but had one of his minions get back to me with the second highest price quoted (BMW of Encinitas refused to budge below Euro MSRP). I bought my car from BMW of Irvine for $1,400 less than BMW of San Diego quoted me.

In contrast, BMW of El Cajon and BMW of Escondido actively support our chapter. BMW of El Cajon is the go-to dealer for service for enthusiasts in San Diego county.
