Had a funny moment in my office parking garage on Friday. I was pulling in with my freshly-washed black Z4MC just as someone was pulling out in his spotless black Porsche Cayman, and we were both sizing each other's cars up. I got the impression we both liked what we saw, while still being pleased with our own choice. ![]() |

I picked up a Cayman S almost 2 years ago when they came out and the car was a blast (previously I had an E46 M3). I went to the track constantly with it and that is where the car really shines. Brakes/steering are just awsome and the body is so stiff. Like others said though if you aren't going to do much track time I would get the Boxster S.
caymanclub.net is a great site also (the Cayman pictured above is owned by the guy that started it), so definitly spend some time there. |

Caymanclub.net may be a reason to buy a Cayman! The site is great, thanks again.
OK now my next track/fun car purchase betting lines looks like this: GT-R = 1-2.5 (40%) 09 Cayman S, DFI, DSG, PASM with SC = 1-5 (20%) Keep my 335i = 1-5 Everything else (M3, C63, Elise, Corvette, etc...) = 1-5 Tiger to win his next golf tourney = 5-1 LOL |

Oh okaaaay. I dunno what your definition of a budget car is, but anything over 50k is definitely not a fkn budget car.

They are BOTH great cars. Personally, i'd pick up another 987..
I used to have a 986 and now my brother has a 911 c2s vert. I still prefer the drive of a boxster over a 911 vert. Call me crazy and ill just smile back and tell you to go drive both. Porsche wouldn't put their name on it if it wasn't a realy porsche. Right?
