I was just in Toronto/Brampton last week for a few sessions.

I must admit...I kind of want to move there now. Mind you- as my friend said "you'll take that back in the winter" but the people, the city- were all amazing. Very impressed with it

Nah, you'll take that back once you realize how fricking stupid our premier and prime minister are - specifically with how they waste tax dollars that people actually worked hard for.

Then winter will hit and you'll really be miserable.

Then again, as I understand it, SoCal is full of bleeding heart liberals as well...so maybe it won't be so bad.

Actually, winters are really not bad at all in Toronto (maybe from a SoCal perspective, but not in comparison to other parts of Ontario). Brampton is pretty brown, but if you're brown, there's a very big community there and it's not bad, just very suburban - not my taste. I could see you liking downtown TO though. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Or come check out a real Canadian city. Toronto is like our version of Detroit.

It was more so the vibe/ perhaps most could tell I was from out of town. But I can whole heartedly say that Canadians are just in general more friendly individuals than us Americans.

I've never truly adapted to SoCal- moved there for work- but Seattle is pretty "liberal" just without the Hollywood ego. And I gladly prefer the cold (rain) over sunny days. Snow however...from what my friend who lives in Toronto - I'd be pretty miserable. Politics aspects of Canada- all I know is that all American women swoon over the prime minister- and since he isn't a she, with a big butt/ can't speak on what I don't know.

Hahahahahah the "Detroit" of Canada. You sure about that??? If so- send the list of other good cities to check out (not Vancouver though- nothing personal- but born/raised in Seattle we were taught to dislike it- vice versa. I still don't know why, but screw em!)

That is like Toronto, and every one that does not live in Toronto. Hating it is bred into us.

Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec, St. Johns, Halifax....and it goes on.

Been here for 13 years, it's a very functional and prosperous city but it's monumentally bland. THere's a great cultural mix but that is about it, there's not a landscape anywhere, there's no "taste on your tongue" so to speak.

True. The ridiculous urban sprawl is what really bugs me.

Nah it ain't that, that's just a function of a big city and it is very big, i don't think Americans realise how big.

There's just NOTHING here. If family visit outside of mid summer there is nowhere to go unless you're interested in the arts. I mean there's NOTHING to do or see outdoors.

There were a lot of white women with big butts though.

Maybe I just went on a good week.

Sorry- bipolar weather. Back to the topic on hand.
