Not if you count:

Savings on overage miles on the M3 lease ($190/mo)
2 years free charging for the i3 = $150 savings in gas an no cost to power
Rebate through power company
State + Fed rebate + zero out of pocket = Sub $200 lease payment

=net gain of ~$60 per month.

Hassle of an extra car? Well, I have a 3 car garage and there was an empty spot. Now I have an extra option if I just want to go on a quick errand. I also didn't have to rent a car for my wife while her car was in for maintenance, so that was nice. It's an extra car... it's not a hassle, it's a luxury.

Basically, by having an extra car, I'm paying $60 less a month than by not having it. It was a no-brainer.

I do.

3 days commute in the i3. 2 days commute in the M3. Then I get to play with the M3 on the weekends.

A net gain of $60... and an extra $49k car in the garage.

$32,795
36 months
10,000 mi/yr
$2500 state rebate due at signing. Refunded in 30-90days.
$675 Drive Offs (registration, 1st payment, Doc Fee)
$1000 Lease Conquest or $1000 down
35 remaining payments of $69 plus tax

Does this sound like a good deal? Any other options? I was hinking i3, but it's too expensive. I want to keep lease payments below $100 to be cost effective. Anyone have any experience with the 500e?
No wonder EVs sell in Cali and nowhere else. Taxpayers buy them for you.

You're math is off. $2500 is slightly less than the cost of the vehicle.

Lease for $100 a month (if promotion) or you could buy a used leaf or fiat because they have no resale value.

Or just take an Uber. That way you don't have to be seen driving a Fiat or Leaf in public. Plus, you get to meet new people especially if use that carpool option.

I still think the Fiat was a damn near death trap.
