Beautiful.
Sadly, they don't make BMWs like that anymore.

Here's Bill Auberlen flipping it at Road Atlanta. My friend and I were standing along the fence when this happened, he literally flew right past us.

It's a shame BMW barely races professionally anymore. All their new models have lost a lot of that driving which the predecessors had naturally in spades. Wonder why....

I saw the BMW LMR race at Laguna back in the late 90's … wow … what a great time for sports car racing!!!
http://www.speedhunters.com/2009/09/...saloon_part_1/ The Panoz was easily the crowd favourite … here is an example Below are some of the other great 'Le Mans cars' of the era https://jalopnik.com/when-supercars-...ans-1625175062

Epic Era Epic Cars
This is BMW in its element. Epic engine designed by a legendary engine guru and a chassis designed by an F1 team. That was something. Times are changing now but I hope that somehow with their return to LM and possibley other series that we will something special like this in the future.

I do agree that the 90's were a great time for sports car racing. These are my personal favorites in addition to the BMW V12 LMR and McLaren F1 LM and GTR
