I'm in Germany, is there a "BMW Performance Store" of some kind?

I am in Germany on travel and was wondering if there is a BMW Performance Store where I could purchase performance parts for my M5 back home???

Ditto'd
Dackelone is basically Bimmerpost's European Ambassador.
He should be able to recommend a thing or two.

cole701 Where are you located in Germany ?

Any of the large factory run BMW dealerships usually have a Performance display of a car with every Perf part known to mankind.

BMW Niederlassung München
Frankfurter Ring 35,
80807 München

There is also the fairly new mega Niederlassung in Berlin, which I have not yet been too... but its the biggest dealer in size.

But really ANY BMW dealer can order your parts and have it in one or two days. IF you can hand carry the parts onto your flight... the German Customs/Zoll can stamp your parts receipt as "export" and once you return to the states you can file a claim with the German government for the 19% VAT(sales tax) to be refunded to you. This takes roughly three months. BUT you MUST have the German ZOLL/Customs look at your parts(or what ever you buy here) stamp your receipt and then you make/file a claim once in the states.

Where are you staying in Germany ?

Great info... I am in the Kaiserslautern area... And from a technical point of view very much still learning what my M5 currently has and what options are available... From what I have read the upgraded downpipes and exhaust is the first main upgrade most I have seen perform.... And I have yet to do that...

Since you are in K-Town area... I would say you should definitely stop by these two places....

Novatune was founded by ex employees from Hartge. Novatune's shop is amazing.

NOVATUNE Germany
Zeppelinstraße 15
66740 Saarlouis

www.novatune-germany.com

Herbert Hartge GmbH & Co. KG
an der B 51
66701 Beckingen

www.hartge.de

as for an exhaust and downpipes... I am not a fan. I think a simple flash tune offers the best bang for the buck. That is what I would do first.

You should also stop by these two museums... Sinsheim is just wonderful. Speyer has more big toys like the Russian space shuttle and cargo planes and about 100 American fire trucks from the early 1900's. You could visit both museums in one day.

Auto & Technik MUSEUM SINSHEIM
Eberhard-Layher-Straße 1
74889 Sinsheim

www.sinsheim.technik-museum.de

Technic Museum Speyer
Am Technik Museum 1
67346 Speyer

www.speyer.technik-museum.de

Enjoy your stay in DE.

cole701 another interesting place is this private airplane museum...

Flugausstellung P. Junior
B327,
54411 Hermeskeil

and... near by this Concentration Camp memorial and cemetery. I stumble across both of these sites - while on our Sella 3.0 tour last year. We all met up on the A61 near Hermeskeil. Anyways... here is the small memorial place...

Concentration Camp Hinzert
Gedenkstätte Hinzert
