I absolutely ADORE that interior. Avalons have always had a graceful, purposeful, minimalistic bent on the inside. That saddle leather is sumptuous enough, but the stitching detail sets it apart, especially on the doors.
But ... dat smile. Gawd. I'm not sure that most full-size pickup trucks have grills that large. Hideous, especially for its target demographic. The Lexus cross-pollination has to stop.

I had a 2014 Avalon Hybrid Limited and really liked it, but sure isn't sporty. I like the front, sides and interior, but will be glad when the oversized grille and saggy butt styles go away.

Is this that the Yautja Edition? Interior looks great, and I love the way they set up the infotainment screen area. Side profile looks a lot like the civic sedan, though.

Love the interior on this one !! One day I might be ready for an upgrade I guess.
I have a 1996 Avalon (1st gen) with 258,XXX miles and still running strong. I am the 3rd owner and the car still looks pretty decent considering its age. People are normally surprised when i tell them that this car is a 1996 and has that many miles on it. It was my 'Student car' that I just refuse to let go off. That car helped me in life to get to where I am today and means a lot more to me than just a 22 yr old Japanese car The E92 is another love story though !!! |

Die two tone steering wheel, die!!!
But the rest of that interior is a case study in how to make a cheap-ish car look nearly perfect. |

I dunno about that. For a car with a target age demographic in the 60s -- it's basically built to compete with Buick and (the late) Oldsmobile -- those gritted teeth are awfully aggressive.
The horizontal slats on the hybrid are growing on me. The black plastic cross-mesh on the regular ones, however, are godawful. Grannies are gonna hate how dirty those get, and you can't hide dirt, bugs, etc. like you can on a champagne- or gold-painted bumper ...

Who the hell approved of this design? I can't imagine anybody taking a few steps back and thinking "wow that's a great looking car!"
Interior is very reminiscent of the Nissan Maxima, which is a good thing. |

I actually think it's a nice looking car. Same with the new Camry. The old ones were so boring and their demographic is aging (dying) so it's smart to invigorate the design a bit.
