2016 Acura RDX

I would be curious if anyone here has any feedback or personal experience regarding this model.

Long story short my wife is giving her Toyota 4 Runner to our daughter so we are in the market for a small luxury SUV. So yesterday my wife told me a coworker was selling their 2016 Acura RDX with 7K miles, it is loaded with every package and AWD. I've been doing some research and almost all reviews say it's good value for the money. I have never owned an Acura so I was curious for some feedback. We are looking at it later today. Thoughts?

I test drove one a couple years ago. Tbh wasn't impressed.

Didn't like the way it looked, interior didn't feel the least bit luxurious, and it drove like a Honda CRV.

But I'm personally biased against CUVs and the like. On paper it's a great overall vehicle. If the numbers make sense then why not.

My brother has one so i am pretty family with it. Nice ride, good tech, decent fuel economic etc...if you’re getting a good deal and you are not looking for a more involved driving experience , it’s great. They like it so much they are looking at buying the new one which is a big advancement vs this gen.

We have owned both a 2012 Acura RDX (AWD) and now a 2016 Acura RDX (AWD + AcuraWatch Plus). To us, it was the best combination of price and amenities in its class.

The 2016 RDX is a lot more compliant driving around compared to the 2012. However, I prefer the SH-AWD of the older model, rather than the FWD-biased system on the newer generation. No issues with either RDX, reliability wise.

If you're looking for a reliable/comfortable compact SUV, the RDX can be a good value.

Thanks for everyone's feedback. We ended up purchasing the SUV for a decent price. My only complaint is the steering feels numb but the wife loves it, it's her car so she's happy. It's very comfortable though. Cheers

They are really nice cars, drive great. I was looking for one for the family but ended up getting a minivan (growing family).

Was going to mention this. I owned a 2012 RDX SH-AWD as well and drove the newer one. The motor is overall better in the newer one vs the older. But the AWD definitely don't compare from one to the other. I also agree the prior version of the SH-AWD was far superior in my opinion.
