sticky in the fridge

So another 1st world problem.

Fridge/Freezer, I have a thermometer in the fridge, as I keep meds in there, so there is a band of temperature it needs to be in. So I put a thermometer in the fridge , I think it was a velcro sticky thing, hard has rock, difficult to shift.

So I thought I'd get a freezer one. now this is a problem.

There are "NO" instructions on how to stick it other than
*> use the attached magnets
*> use the suction cups

So the magnets don't stick
and the suction cups will stick, BUT after leaving the closed for a few hours the whole units slides down then falls off

any ideas? on how to get the suction cups to stick, or am I going to have to use sticky velcro

google turns up a blank

Get a tupperware container, put both your meds and the thermometer in the tupperware container. Put the container in the fridge. Problem solved.

Use a small strip of double sided tape to hold your thermometer into place in the fridge, cheapest method.

yeah that's what I'm thinking

silly a$$ having suction cups, they don't even work on GPS's in the winter falling off, why would they think it would work in a freezer !
And most freezers are all plastic, not sure where you would stick a magnet on it either

Duct tape, a thousand and one uses. If you need to know if your freezer thawed out you put a cup of water in and let it freeze. Then put a washer/penny on top of the ice. If the freezer thaws out the ice melts and the coin type item falls to the bottom of the cup and will be there when the freezer turns back on and refreezes. This way you know if your not home and the power went out and the food/medicine thawed and are bad.

resolved,,,,
didnt' notice on the sides of the thermometer holder, where 2 slots cut in.
so managed to slip it onto one of the ice containers
They could have mentioned that in the "non-existent" instructions

Congratulations, you are now a thermodynamic engineer! Time to tackle freezer burn and really do the world a favor (or perhaps branch out into arctic biology and figure out what is at the back of the crisper drawer)

although now, I can't get my freezer compartment into the "ideal" zone temp zone, keep turning it up a bit at a time, up to the 4 mark now, the damn needle isn't getting any lower, may try a digital thermometer with an external probe

it's my OCD dammit
